Kinyofu Mteremeshi-Mlimwengu is a long recognized professional in advocacy for Women’s Empowerment. She provides educational forums to support women’s development, understanding and appreciation for their bodies as it relates to their womb and it’s lifetime of stories. She is the proud mother of two young adults whom she credits with inspiring her desire for further enlightenment, and a new grandmother. mutMut Ra-t identifies herself as a Student of Life. She integrates her personal experiences and spiritual knowledge with her understanding and approach to self-care and wellness. Mama-Mut, with a “passion to serve,” finds joy in sharing resources and tools for healthy living. Mut’s dream is that all families and individuals be inspired, encouraged, and supported to live healthy lives. Regina M. Conceição graduated from the University of Massachusetts Amherst with a BS in Women’s Studies and Spanish. Her family is from Cape Verde, in Africa, and she is fluent in Cape Verdean Creole and Spanish. She is also a DONA-certified doula (CD) and lactation counselor (CLC), holds the CDA (Child Development Associate) credential, and is certified in adult and infant CPR.  She is a doula consultant with the By My Side Support Program in Brooklyn and a Child and Family Specialist for Columbia University Early Head Start Perinatal Support Program.  In 2007 she established her doula business, A Passion for New Beginnings, Inc.
